I create stories, spaces, and conversations that help children and families believe in their voices.
Hi there, I’m Leanne 💛
I’m a proud mum of two amazing daughters, a creative at heart, and someone who believes deeply in the power of encouragement, storytelling, and faith.
You might describe me as a little “neurospicy”, a proud “dis-nerd”, and a devoted follower of Jesus — my best friend and constant source of inspiration.
From a young age you could usually find me on a stage somewhere — singing in choirs, acting in plays, or sharing words meant to encourage others. (You can ask me to sing/speak… but dancing is absolutely off the table 🙈)
I studied Community Arts Practice and Music Industry Management, but like many parents, my path shifted during the early years of motherhood. Even then, creativity never really left me. I continued writing spoken word and poetry, serving in my church choir, and volunteering in children’s ministry — spaces where creativity and encouragement naturally meet.
Over the past three years my work has focused on supporting families of children with additional needs, both professionally and through volunteering. That work has shaped so much of how I see the world and continues to influence the way I write, speak, and create.
Alongside this, I share spoken word, storytelling, and creative reflections that encourage people — especially children and families — to believe in their ideas and their voices.
My first children’s picture book, Leanne’s Worst Book, grew from those same themes of self-doubt, creativity, and the courage to simply be yourself.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple hope: to create spaces where people feel encouraged, seen, and brave enough to share their ideas.
Thank you for being here.
Leanne

Creative Talks & Spoken Word
Alongside writing, I share spoken word, storytelling, and reflective talks that encourage people to rediscover the value of their voices and ideas.
My spoken word pieces are often rooted in faith, lived experience, and honest reflections on life, creativity, and personal growth. Many of these have been shared within church services and community spaces where storytelling can open up meaningful conversations.
I’m passionate about creating spaces where people feel encouraged, seen, and empowered to express themselves – whether that’s through creativity, conversation, or simply being reminded that their story matters.
Some of the themes I speak around include:
– Confidence and self-belief
– Creativity and self-expression
– Faith and everyday life
– Encouraging children and families to use their voices
– Finding courage to share your ideas
